Selected Quranic verses

﴿ ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيۡنَا بَيَانَهُۥ ﴾

then it is upon Us to explain its meanings.

﴿ وَٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ ﴾

﴿ فَتِلۡكَ بُيُوتُهُمۡ خَاوِيَةَۢ بِمَا ظَلَمُوٓاْۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةٗ لِّقَوۡمٖ يَعۡلَمُونَ ﴾

﴿ فَقَرَّبَهُۥٓ إِلَيۡهِمۡ قَالَ أَلَا تَأۡكُلُونَ ﴾

and placed it before them and said, “Will you not...

﴿ إِلَّا مَوۡتَتَنَا ٱلۡأُولَىٰ وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ ﴾

﴿ وَأَمَّا ثَمُودُ فَهَدَيۡنَٰهُمۡ فَٱسۡتَحَبُّواْ ٱلۡعَمَىٰ عَلَى ٱلۡهُدَىٰ فَأَخَذَتۡهُمۡ صَٰعِقَةُ... ﴾

And as for Thamūd, We guided them, but they prefer...

﴿ وُجُوهٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ مُّسۡفِرَةٞ ﴾

On that Day, some faces will be bright,

﴿ فَغُلِبُواْ هُنَالِكَ وَٱنقَلَبُواْ صَٰغِرِينَ ﴾

119. So they were defeated there and returned disg...

﴿ وَمَآ أَسۡـَٔلُكُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ مِنۡ أَجۡرٍۖ إِنۡ أَجۡرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ ﴾

I do not ask you for any reward for this; my rewar...

﴿ إِنَّهُمۡ عَنِ ٱلسَّمۡعِ لَمَعۡزُولُونَ ﴾

23. Nay, but (man) has not done what He commanded...

﴿ وَمَا مَنَعَنَآ أَن نُّرۡسِلَ بِٱلۡأٓيَٰتِ إِلَّآ أَن كَذَّبَ بِهَا ٱلۡأَوَّلُونَۚ وَءَاتَيۡنَا ثَ... ﴾
